You may have seen or heard about a news story that aired June 18 on local media regarding pending lawsuits filed by ZYSA. This litigation stems from actions that occurred two years ago. We are pursuing these legal actions simply because we believe that it’s the right thing to do. Since that time, ZYSA has actively worked to address the issues, including influencing Indiana Soccer and its membership to change Indiana Soccer policy to prevent future incidents of this nature (link).
We do not expect that the litigation will impact our Club members. More recently, we trust that you’ve noticed – and enjoyed – some notable changes in the ZYSA “experience.”
§ Outstanding additions to our team of Directors, Assistant Directors and Coaches, across the Travel, Academy and Rec programs
§ Award-winning recognition for our Boys Director of Coaching Ian Scott. In case you missed the recent feature in the Zionsville Monthly, click here: http://zionsvillemonthlymagazine.com/going-for-the-goal/
§ Developing a more energetic / fun on-site atmosphere with food trucks and music
§ Our commitment to developing players from all aspects, e.g., our innovative relationship with Ball State on psychological development
ZYSA is striving to change the culture of youth soccer, as evidenced by the aforementioned policy change, as well as the culture of how we operate as a Club. At ZYSA we continue to be focused on all our players’ long-term development through their psychological/social, physical, technical, and tactical growth.
